I know. The engine changes more often than Bonita changes wheels. Peligro Express is heading back to Unreal 5.8.
I didn't start over with a blank map. The saved Unity island is the source for this move: its terrain, districts and the places I built are coming across with their layout intact. The older Unreal project is parked; this is a separate migration workshop.
The terrain is now a streamable Unreal landscape, with its heights and paint checked against the source. The districts are there too, including the harbour, town, farm and observatory. Those are environment assemblies. They still need lighting, materials, water and a proper art pass.
Bonita has a separate test garage in Unreal. Her eight visual forms and transformation animations are imported, but she isn't eight working vehicles. Physics is off in that review scene, and Rusty isn't hopping in for a drive yet.
Unity is still my saved source for the move. An attempt to open its newer terrain in an older LTS editor failed, so I kept those files untouched. The Unreal conversion has technical checks behind it, but no one should mistake the picture above for a playable build. I'm moving the useful work across first, then I can get back to the part where the game is actually fun.
