Tools from
the workshop.

I build tools when the game needs them. The first two here are Godot addons; other engines may get their own tools later. Each release will say what it supports.

Godot addons in development

Current tools.

These two are still being built. Their development code is not a finished release.

GDB Audio Library

Search and prepare a large sound library inside Godot.

I have a large external audio collection, and I wanted to search, preview and prepare those files without constantly leaving the Godot editor. This free MIT-licensed addon is the result.

  • Search, preview and inspect waveforms.
  • Trim copies, add fades, adjust gain and normalize.
  • Export WAV or OGG while keeping source files untouched.

Still to do: test larger libraries, refine the editor workflow and check the exported audio.

GDB Character Builder

Assemble compatible character parts inside the editor.

I built this tool while assembling characters for the Godot prototype. It lets me browse compatible parts, assemble a character and preview the result without leaving Godot.

Supports Synty Sidekick characters. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Synty.

Character and animation assets are not included. You’ll need your own appropriately licensed assets.

Still to do: finish separating the character creator from the game project and prepare it for release.

Why release them separately?

The game
needed them.

I do not want the game held together by twenty unrelated addons. When I build a system that works well on its own, I can clean it up, document it and release it separately.

Each release will state what it does, which engines and versions it supports, how to install it and whether it is free or paid.

Neither addon is finished yet.

I’ll post progress in the diary while I test them.

I’m setting these up as places to follow the project, support the work and download future game or plugin releases. I’ll add the links when the pages are ready.
